In different countries different hardware and software systems were used to process payments. Also different brands leveraged different solutions for POS processing. Financial reports had to be submitted to the country office which consolidated the results to the regional headquarter on a monthly basis. The collection and consolidation process to produce final official reports from the individual outlets to the headquarter took approximately a week to settle out.
